<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an order management system for a restaurant to improve not only the efficiency of order processing but also the efficiency of staff operations such as cooking or table setting, to improve customer satisfaction, and to include the mechanism of systematic merchandise recommendation leading to sales promotion. <P>SOLUTION: This order management system is provided with a means to sense the digestive circumstances of merchandise set on the table of a customer who has visited a store by a sensor, and to perform the cooking/table setting of the next merchandise in the optimal timing, and to urge the customer to make an additional order. Also, this system is provided with a means to enable a staff to instantaneously grasp the merchandise classification, price, table setting destination table and table setting status or the like based on an IC chip embedded in tableware and a means for enabling the customer who has visited a store to confirm whether or not all the ordered merchandise are set on the table.
