PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition which exhibits an excellent low torque performance and its durability in a wide temperature range and has a better seizure life. SOLUTION: The grease composition containing a base oil and a thickener is obtained by adding an N-vinylamide microgel in an amount of 0.5-10 wt.% of the total amount of the grease composition. The N-vinylamide microgel is obtained by polymerizing and crosslinking compounds expressed by general formula (I) and general formula (II) at a weight ratio of (I):(II)=70-99.9:30-0.1 and gelatinizing the obtained polymer with water, a lubrication oil or an organic solvent. General formula (I): CH<SB>2</SB>=CR<SP>1</SP>NR<SP>2</SP>COR<SP>3</SP>. General formula (II): CH<SB>2</SB>=CR<SP>4</SP>CO(OX)<SB>n</SB>OR<SP>5</SP>.
