PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device for a vehicle capable of informing surely an occupant of an apparent position of an object without moving greatly a sight line of the occupant. SOLUTION: This information providing device 1 for the vehicle of the present invention for providing visually to the occupant the apparent positional information of the preset object is provided with a visual determination means for determining whether the set object is visible during travel of the vehicle by the occupant or not, and a positional information display means for informing visually the occupant of the apparent position of the object within a landscape, by displaying image information indicating the visible object while superposed on the real landscape viewed by the occupant, when the set object is determined to be visible, a precision detecting means for detecting specified precision of the object, and a precision notifying means for notifying information about the specified precision to the occupant.
