摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device capable of surely transferring a charge, since the potential of a channel region at the ON and OFF times can be decreased and increased fully, in a transistor other than a modulation transistor. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device is provided with a photoelectric conversion element which generates a light-generating charge corresponding to the incident light, an accumulation well which accumulates the light generating charge, a well for modulation which holds the light-generating charge transferred from the accumulation well, a modulation transistor which outputs a pixel signal, corresponding to the light generating charge by controlling the threshold voltage of a channel by the light-generating charge held by the well for modulation, and a transistor for transferring charge which controls the transfer of the light-generating charge.
