PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing timing control device for preventing the cancellation of a locking mechanism due to centrifugal force with a rapid increase in engine speed by reducing the influences of the centrifugal force which is generated on a lock member. SOLUTION: The valve opening/closing timing control device comprises the locking mechanism in which a lock plate movably arranged in a housing 30 engages/disengages with/from lock grooves 20A, 20B formed in a rotor 20 to control relative rotation. A canceling mechanism is provided for operating centrifugal force which is generated on a counterweight 91 in opposition to centrifugal force generated on the lock plate 80, on the lock plate 80 via an arm 90.
