PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening device equipped with a sash roller, which can conceal a gap between a rail and a lower edge of a wire screen, and a gap between the rail and a right or left jamb, which secures a degree of freedom in use or in removal, and which can be used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This opening device is equipped with a frame body which is composed of a head, a sill, and the right and left jambs, and the wire screen 80 which is mounted on the outdoor side of the frame body; the sill is equipped with the rail R which is erected from the sill; the wire screen is equipped with a sash roller unit which is placed on the rail; the sash roller unit is equipped with a roller which rolls on the rail, a main body part for pivotably supporting the roller, and a gap closing member 180 which is provided by being displaced to the indoor or outdoor side of the erection surface of the rail, and which is provided in the state of freely protruding downward from an undersurface of the main body part/receding into the undersurface; and notched parts 190A and 190B, which are formed at the end of the rail, are closed with the gap closing member in the closing of the wire screen.
