PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which folds the ear part of a pillow package to the bottom surface to be welded so that a packed article can appear to be wrapped tightly by a film. SOLUTION: An apparatus to fold the ear part of the pillow package B comprises an apparatus to flatten the ear part 2, a first folding apparatus 50, a second folding apparatus 60 and a first bonding apparatus. The flattening apparatus flattens the inner surface of the film near the ear part 2 of the pillow package B to form a flattened part 3. The first folding apparatus 50 folds the base portion the flattened part 3 at almost right angle in a direction of the flattened part 3 to face toward the back surface 5, making the root part of the flattened part 3 as a folding part. In the second folding apparatus 60, the protrusion 3a protruded over the back surface 5 in the flattened part 3 folded with the first folding apparatus 50 is folded so as to be close to or be in contact with the back surface 5 of the pillow package B. In the first bonding apparatus, the film is bonded to each other at a part that the protrusion 3a of the flattened part 3 is close to or in contact with the back surface 5.
