PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing capable of reducing manufacturing costs and securing lubricating performance. SOLUTION: An outward surface of an outer diameter side of one rib 5 of an outer ring 1 at an axial direction is set to be a shrunken diameter slant surface 5a facing inward at an axial direction. Large-diameter surfaces 10 and 11 are formed on ring portions 8 and 9 of a retainer 3, and an outer diameter D3 of the large-diameter surfaces 10 and 11 is formed to be larger in comparison with an inner diameter D1 of one rib 5 and smaller in comparison with an inner diameter D4 of raceway 1a of the outer ring 1. An outside slant surface 16 at an axial direction is set to be shrunken diameters in sequence to the outside at an axial direction so that both sides of the large-diameter surfaces 10 and 11 are set to be the slant surfaces 16 and 17. An annular space with an approximately triangular section surrounded by the slant surface 17, an end face 2a of a needle roller 2, and an inner diameter surface of the outer ring 1 is set to be a grease retaining space 20 retaining grease.
