An all purpose cleaning machine ( 10 ) includes a recovery tank ( 40 ) pivotable relative to a base assembly ( 12 ) and a solution tank ( 26 ) between an access position and a transport position. Hose reels ( 56, 58 ) are slidably received by movement in a radial direction inside the semicylindrical portion ( 72 ) of a J-shaped depression ( 70 ) for rotation therein. Hose reels ( 56, 58 ) hold hoses ( 62, 64 ) and are removable when it is desired to move the recovery tank ( 40 ) from its transport position to its access position by simply lifting them from the depression ( 70 ). In the transport position, tool channels ( 34, 48 ) are defined in the front ( 30 ) of the solution tank ( 26 ) and the back ( 46 ) of the recovery tank ( 40 ) for slideably receiving tools for support on the bottom faces of the tool channels ( 34, 38 ).
