A method of welding a weld structure having excellent brittle crack propagation resistance to obstruct the propagation of a brittle crack occurring in a weld joint. In a butt-welded joint in which the propagation of a brittle crack may occur, after a part of the butt-welded joint in an area where the brittle crack is stopped is removed by gouging or machining, a repair weld part capable of providing higher brittleness than that of a butt-welded part by repair-welding the gouged or machined portion and having an angle phi of 10˚ or more and 60˚ or less in the outer edge direction of the butt-welded part to the longitudinal direction is formed in the area where the brittle crack is stopped.
