<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid change in quality of a content in a paper cup and provide an appropriate barrier property by covering the end face of the paper substrate layer with a barrier layer with inhibiting the end faces of the paper substrate layer and the barrier layer from being exposed outside, in the end edge of barrel joining parts of the paper cup located in the inside of the container. <P>SOLUTION: A paper substrate absent section 18 formed by forming a substrate layer-removed part 19 formed by punching and removing the paper substrate over an annular leg part and an mouth peripheral part, covering the part 19 with a barrier layer 15, forming a barrier layer-removed part 20 formed by punching and removing the barrier layer 15 in the inside position of the paper substrate layer-removed part 19 and covering the part 19 with a thermoplastic resin layer 14 is provided on the end edge 3 of the barrel paper 2 of the joining part 4 of the barrel becoming the inside of the container. The end face of the edge 3 where the part 18 is located is formed in such a way that the paper substrate layer 16 and the barrier layer 15 are not exposed to the surface.
