PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color communication terminal placing a limit on color transmission depending on situation in the case of carrying out color facsimile transmission. SOLUTION: The operation of a facsimile transmission processing includes steps of: (ST1) setting an original; (ST2) entering a FAX number of an opposite destination; (ST3, ST4) operating a start key 8a; (ST6) discriminating whether an amount of image data to be transmitted after coding is greater than a threshold value when a color FAX mode is set (step ST5); (ST7) displaying stop of the color facsimile transmission when the amount of the image data to be transmitted is greater than the threshold value and stopping transmission to the destination; and (ST8) applying color facsimile transmission to the image data when the amount of the image data to be transmitted is smaller than the threshold value.
