PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide long-time image transmission by controlling the transmission volume in accordance with a residual capacity of power in the power supply part of an image transmission device, in a monitor camera and a monitor camera system. SOLUTION: The monitor camera comprises: an imaging part; an image signal processing part for processing an image signal from the imaging part; an image data transmission part for transmitting image data from the image signal processing part; a power supply part for supplying power to the imaging part, the image signal processing part, and the image data transmission part; a power capacity detection means for detecting the residual capacity of power in the power supply part; and a control part for controlling the imaging part, the image signal processing part, and the image data transmission part. At least one of the imaging part, the image signal processing part, and the image data transmission part is controlled on the basis of the signal of the power capacity detection means.
