PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intend to reduce panel capacity of a plasma display panel having shared display electrodes and a barrier with a mesh pattern. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel has the discharge barrier composed of a vertical wall and a horizontal wall to partition a screen, a plurality of display electrodes composing a line electrode array of a type in which adjacent lines share one electrode, and an address electrode arranged on the screen as column electrodes, and each of the display electrodes is composed of a transparent conductive film and a metallic film overlapping with the center part in the width direction of the transparent conductive film. Each transparent conductive film of the display electrodes is formed in the shape of a belt, of which the both end rims in the width direction are cut out for every boundary of the columns, and in which two portions positioning between the center part for the metallic film to overlap and each of two cut-outs are hollowed out.
