PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dry toner, superior in coloring power or color reproducibility, electrifying properties, and environmental stability, and properly matching with an image forming apparatus, and to provide an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: An image is formed, using the dry toner including a binder resin and colorant which is a monoazo pigment composition having constituent components of two or more kinds of monoazo colorant, in which the total content of an aromatic amine originated in the raw material of the monoazo based colorant is≤200 ppm of the mass of the monoazo pigment composition.
