PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance strength and rigidity of an operation lever connecting a tensioner and a tensioner lever and simultaneously to intend to make its weight light in an internally disposed tensioner arrangement for preventing looseness by disposing the tensioner inside annular chain which is wound on a plurality of sprockets. SOLUTION: The arrangement is configured to dispose onto the tensioner lever 8 pressing a timing chain 1 on one side of the chain the operation lever 11 which substantially shapes intersecting angle of both arms 26a, 26b to 90 degrees or more as dog leg shape. One end of the operation lever 11 secures to the tensioner lever 8 via an elastic pad 16 whereas on other end of it engagement pad 17 which forms smoothly convex surface is mounted. Thus, plunger tip end of the tensioner 9 engages on engagement surface 24 of the engagement pad 17, thereby, being capable of pressing the tensioner lever 8 against the timing chain 1.
