PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor implanting method capable of implanting the anchor in an adequate state and to provide a gauge used therefor. SOLUTION: This implanting method for the anchor inserts the anchor into a bottomed hole drilled by a drill bit and integrally implants the anchor in the bottomed hole by widening the diameter of the tip portion. This anchor implanting method comprises: a process for drilling with the drill bit 3 the bottomed holes 5 corresponding to the anchors 2, 102 to be inserted as stated above; a process for checking a hole diameter and a hole depth of the bottomed hole by allowing the outer diameter of at least the edge part to insert gauges 1, 101 formed into a predetermined dimension relative to the anchor for the outer diameter of the anchor to be implanted in order to check the predetermined dimension relative to the outer diameter of the anchor to be implanted; and a process for implanting by inserting the anchor into the bottomed hole on condition that the hole diameter and hole depth of the bottomed hole can be confirmed to be equal to the predetermined dimensions by the gauges stated above.
