PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel body retaining implement which makes a panel body such as a wall panel temporarily held in the state of being lifted from a working plane such as a floor surface by a predetermined height, and which enables the panel body to be pulled down onto the working plane after safety is confirmed. SOLUTION: This panel retaining implement 1 is equipped with: a main body frame 11 which is equipped with a bottom surface sliding on the working plane; a panel retaining part 12 which is extended out from the bottom surface of the frame 11 so as to retain a lower end of the panel body 2, and wherein an inclined plane 122 with declivity is formed at a leading end; an extrusion part 13 which is provided in the frame 11 and which can protrude/recede in the direction of the extension of the panel retaining part 12; and a link arm 14 which is journaled on the frame 11, wherein the extrusion part 13 is connected to one end, and wherein a lever handle 15 is attached to the other end.
