PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the angular variation of a needle when feeding the needle. SOLUTION: The subject sewing machine is provided with: a needle bar support body 20 for supporting a needle bar 15 holding the needle 14 at a lower end part in a vertically movable state; a vertically moving mechanism 30 for applying vertical drive force to the needle bar 15; and a needle feeding mechanism 40 for moving the needle bar support body 20 along a direction of crossing with the vertically moving direction of the needle bar 15 while keeping the inclination of the needle bar 15.
