摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce the hammering noises of a high output internal combustion engine having high explosion pressure, resulting from backlash, by using a backlash absorbing means for absorbing the radial backlash occurring between an outer race of a rolling bearing and a bearing hole of a crank case while rotatably supporting the crank shaft for the internal combustion engine on the crank case via the rolling bearing. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine has the crank shaft 6 rotatably supported in the bearing hole of the crank case 10 via the ball bearing BB and the backlash absorbing means A for preventing the radial backlash between the ball bearing BB and the bearing hole 18. The backlash absorbing means A has a push plug 30 for pushing the outer race 2 of the ball bearing BB in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the crank shaft 6. The push plug 30 is arranged parallel to the crank shaft 6 between a cylinder 1 and the crank shaft 6, and it is resiliently energized to push the outer race 23 of the ball bearing BB to the side of receiving the explosion pressure of the bearing hole 18 of the crank case 10.
