Production of a polyurethane cushioning component (I) involves (a) applying a polyurethane elastomer to the surface of a mold cover, (b) closing the mold, (c) introducing the liquid components of a flexible polyurethane foam into the mold cavity and (d) removing the obtained (I) from the mold (after hardening the foam).
