<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can perform a reversible charging and discharging reaction, having good cycle property and charging and discharging efficiency, capable of high capacity and high energy density. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode has a positive electrode activator made by mixing elemental sulfur, conductive agent, and binder. As a negative electrode, carbonaceous material like graphite capable of storing and releasing lithium, silicon, metallic lithium, lithium alloy or the like are used. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains a first solvent composed of at least one kind selected from cyclic ether and linear ether, and a second solvent composed of at least one kind selected from fluorinated carbonate and fluorinated ester. the ratio of volume of the first solvent against that of the sum of the first and second solvents is larger than 50%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
