METHANE FERMENTATION TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane fermentation treatment method capable of determining the optimum filling ratio of a carrier to be filled into a methane fermentation tank and thereby maintaining a stable fermentation state for a long period of time.

SOLUTION: In the methane fermentation treatment method, an organic waste is thrown into the methane fermentation tank 12 filled with a fixing carrier 17 and methane-fermenting it by anaerobic microorganism and removing it as a digestive liquid. The sum of the number of cells in the fermentation treatment object 40 and the number of cells deposited on the fixing carrier 17 is measured in the methane fermentation tank 12 and the filling ratio of the fixing carrier 17 is determined so that the total number of cells may become the optimum number of cells in the methane fermentation tank 12. Regarding the optimum number of cells, the fixing carrier 17 is removed from the methane fermentation tank 12, the methane fermentation treatment is carried out in the state that a filtration membrane 30 with a pore diameter through which the cell cannot pass is provided at a take out port of the digestive liquid and it is preferable that the number of cells in the methane fermentation tank 12 at this time is made to be the optimum number of cells.
