<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element capable of fully increasing light extraction efficiency without generating defects in a light-emitting structure, and to provide a method for manufacturing the light-emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: A viscous solution prior to curing (precursor liquid) for forming a layer using a light-transmitting inorganic material as a main constituent is applied onto the rear of a substrate 1. The substrate 1 is pressed by the irregularities of a die and is heated or irradiated with ultraviolet rays. By removing the die from the substrate 1, an inorganic material layer 50 having the light-transmitting inorganic material as the main constituent is formed on the substrate 1. In this manner, the inorganic material layer 50 having the irregularities is formed on the rear(light extraction surface) of the substrate 1 by embossing method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
