<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small medication infusion apparatus and an infusion method for reducing the replenishing frequency and replenishing time of a medication. <P>SOLUTION: An implantable infusion apparatus has a medication storage part for storing the medication, and a carrier storage part for storing a carrier. The entire apparatus including both storage parts is typically disposed in a housing formed of stainless steel, titanium or any other strong corrosion resistant biocompatible material. The medication storage part and the carrier storage part are accessed through a medication access port and a carrier access port respectively. These access ports are covered with a medication compound septum and a carrier compound septum respectively. The carrier storage part is larger than the medication storage part and thus holds a larger volume than the medication storage part. To reduce the size of the implantable infusion apparatus, the medication is highly concentrated to many times the dosage required.
