<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability for character input and support versatility to reduce man hours for the development of each application in consideration of character inputs, by performing the operation of initializing character inputs for a variety of business applications operating on a computer terminal device, in such a way that a layout is changed into unique input layout. <P>SOLUTION: A character input support module 30 is formed as an external module that operates independently of business applications. The character input support module 30 includes communication means 31-35 for sending and receiving information to and from a copy buffer 11 and a database 36 executed by the background process of an operating system; and an environment-setting management means 38 which obtains from the copy buffer 11 via the communication means information about the character input screen of the business application 20 operating on a computer terminal device 10, and in which the input item position information of the database 36 corresponding to input items on the character input screen is stored in association. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
