PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of annunciating such discharge/charge information as to indicate a battery usable time or a time required for charge or to accelerate battery replacement at the charging of an image pickup device by a cradle, the image pickup device, and a program. SOLUTION: When a digital camera 100 is mounted to the cradle 20, the temperature of a battery is detected, and detected discharge/charge data are read out of discharge/charge curve data which are stored in a memory associated with the temperature of the battery, and based on the present voltage of the battery, discharge/charge curve indication data are generated, and information 32 on a discharge curve 31, a usable time of the battery, etc, or information on a charge curve, a time required for charge, etc. is indicated.
