PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image photographing processing apparatus and a program whereby a user can easily discriminate which part of an image to be photographed the user has to notify and what degree of correction the user has to carry out in the case of exposure correction and the user can more simply execute proper exposure correction. SOLUTION: In a photographing waiting state, a marker M1a (denoting a high light part) formed around a pixel with the highest luminance, a marker M1b (denoting medium lightness) formed around a pixel with medium luminance, and a marker M1c (denoting the darkest part) formed around a pixel with the lowest luminance in a finder picture FP are displayed (a) on a monitor 6 of a digital camera 1. When the user carries out the exposure correction and the proper exposure is obtained, the markers M1a to M1c having been circular are revised into square shaped markers M2a to M2c.
