PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide folding type electronic equipment emitting an acoustic wave from a speaker towards a user regardless of the open-close states of both cabinets. SOLUTION: In the folding type electronic equipment, a hinge mechanism 3 is constituted by connecting a cylindrical first piece section 13 projected towards the second cabinet 2 at the end section of the first cabinet 1 and a pair of second left-right piece sections 23 and 23 projected towards the first cabinet 1 at the end section of the second cabinet 2 relatively rotatably. A sound emitting hole 14 for emitting the acoustic sound emitted from the speaker incorporated in the first cabinet 1 is bored at a place exposed on the internal-surface side of the first cabinet 1 under the state, in which both cabinets 1 and 2 are opened, while being exposed on the rear side of the second cabinet 2 under the state, in which both cabinets 1 and 2 are closed, in the first piece section 13.
