PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device by which an image of a lower resolution than the original resolution provided by an imaging element and of a high picture quality is obtained. SOLUTION: A solid state image sensing device has a complementary color array or a Bayer array of color filters and integrates electric charge from 9 charge coupled devices relative to one color which are placed in a part of 6 lines and 6 rows for each of the parts which are delimited by boundaries displaced by 3 lines or 3 rows for each color and outputs it as one pixel. Since a spatial low-pass filter action is produced by the above process and the signal component exceeding Nyquist frequency at a target resolution is reduced, frequency reflected noise which appears in an image indicated by target image data is reduced and the picture quality is improved.
