PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably eject ink over a long period of time, and to form an image with a high degree of ink arrival accuracy, by avoiding ink from being cured on a nozzle surface of a recording head by light reflected from a recording medium, to the utmost. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus 1 ejects photo-curing ink onto the recording medium P from the recording head 9, and fixes the image by illuminating the light to the photo-curing ink, reaching the recording medium P, from a photoirradiation means 12 so as to cure the ink. The apparatus 1, which is equipped with a reflection factor measuring means 6 for detecting a reflection factor of the recording medium P, is stopped when the reflection factor of the recording medium P, which is computed from a value measured by the measuring means 6, is a predetermined set value or above.
