PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device dispensing with a special device for retreating a sizing device 6 such as a turning support member in the machining device having a spindle ram 32 and the sizing device 6. SOLUTION: A spindle 35 rotatable around an axis to rotate a workpiece, a spindle driving motor 37 for rotationally driving the spindle 35, and a ram driving motor for sliding the spindle ram 32 in an axis direction, are arranged vertically in the same line.
