METHANE FERMENTATION TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane fermentation treatment method capable of enhancing efficiency of activated sludge treatment by simultaneously promoting the denitrification of the activated sludge tank while maintaining an operation efficiency of a methane fermentation tank to the optimum, and a methane fermentation treatment apparatus. SOLUTION: An organic waste is reduced to a slurry and thrown into a first methane fermentation tank 11 and treatment is carried out while a throwing load amount is adjusted such that organic acid or lower alcohol produced in the fermentation process of the organic waste is remained. The slurry is extracted from the first methane fermentation tank 11 and solid/liquid separation is carried out by a separation membrane 13 and the solution after the separation is added to the activated sludge tank 14. Whereas, the solid content after the separation is thrown to a second methane fermentation tank 12 and is again subjected to methane fermentation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
