PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair precisely specifying the optimal height of the chair fitted to each person and easily adjusting the seat surface to the height position. SOLUTION: This chair is provided with a seat surface lifting means 2 and a non-sole weight measuring means 4, and the measuring means 4 is formed to measure a non-sole weight when a person sits on the chair. This chair is further provided with a drive means 3 driving the seat surface lifting means 2, and a control means 5. When the person sits thereon, the body weight is automatically measured by the non-sole weight measuring means and the control means 5 executes a control based on the body weight value.
