The invention relates to a bicycle handlebar suspension system (22). The invention is of the type in which: the system is mounted to a bicycle steering assembly (18) which is mounted such as to pivot in relation to a bicycle frame (12) by means of a hinge structure (20); the system comprises at least two arms (48, 50) which extend from the steering assembly (18) and which are stacked in the direction of the pivot axis (A1) of the steering assembly (18); and the two free ends of the arms are interconnected by means of a linking part (52). The invention is characterised in that the stacked arms (48, 50) are disposed on either side of the hinge structure (20) along the length of the pivot axis (A1).
