<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which does not perform automatic clearing against user's intent. <P>SOLUTION: This image processor avoids automatic clearing against user's intent by extending the time period of the automatic clearing. As a user which is not familiar to the operation can readily extend the time period of the automatic clearing, an extension key is provided to the image processor. The image processor extends the time period of the automatic clearing based on the number of times of pushing of the extension key.
