<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of stably generating electric power and enhancing reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell is equipped with an electromotive part 52 generating electric power by chemical reaction, a fuel tank housing fuel and supplying the fuel to the electromotive part, and an air supply part supplying air to the electromotive part. The electromotive part has a plurality of cells 90a, 90b, 90c having an anode and a cathode faced on both sides of a conductive membrane, a pair of end surfaces positioned at both ends in the stacking direction of the cell and crossing in the stacking direction, and a plurality of side surfaces extending along the stacking direction.
