<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which realizes resolution conversion into a plurality of resolution or outputting a multi-level image and a binary image with simple constitution and reduced memory capacity without lowering an image processing speed and to provide a control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor has first image processing 11 for processing digitized image data, image memories 13 and 14 for temporarily preserving image data processed by the first image processing, second image processing 15 for processing the image data read from the image memories, third image processing 16 for performing processing different from the first and second image processing, and switches 12 and 17 for changing the connection of the third image processing to either before the image memories just after the first image processing or just after the second image processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
