PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple optical axis photoelectric sensor capable of setting proper detection sensitivity corresponding to the distance between sensor heads, and preventing mutual interference with another photoelectric sensor. SOLUTION: This multiple optical axis photoelectric sensor formed by arranging oppositely a floodlighting sensor head wherein a plurality of floodlights are arrayed and a light-receiving sensor head wherein a plurality of photodetectors are arrayed is provided with the first means for inputting distance data equivalent to the distance between the sensor heads, the second means for determining the detection sensitivity based on the distance data inputted by the first means, and the third means for setting the detection sensitivity determined by the second means.
