PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device and its driving method permitting the improvement of response speed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes liquid crystal elements, each of which is disposed on one divisional display area, so as to display the divisional display area, and a display driving part 10 for displaying the respective liquid crystal elements with a weighted mean of luminance ratios of the respective liquid crystal elements so that a display response time of the one display area becomes shorter than a hypothetical display response time that is obtained when the display area is displayed with a single liquid crystal element.
