PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system in which it is unnecessary for a focus control signal outputted from a photographing apparatus to be altered due to a difference in focusing system or focusing control system and in which the optical apparatuses of different systems can be used in combination with a common photographing apparatus. SOLUTION: The camera system in which the photographing apparatuses and the optical apparatuses can be attached/detached for replacement includes: a camera control part which is disposed on the photographing apparatus side and outputs a focusing control signal; and a lens control part which is disposed on the optical apparatus side and controls a focus lens and controls all the lenses. In the lens control part, the focusing control signal outputted from the camera control part is used to generate a drive signal for a focus lens drive means according to a difference in focusing system, focusing control system, etc., to control the focus lens.
