PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band feeding method in an automatic banding packing machine which can make a band surely reach a specified position without generating bending and jamming of the band caused by jamming of the band especially when the band is once hooked and re-feeding of the band is performed. SOLUTION: Two kinds of touch pressure, a strong case and a weak case, of a touch roller 88 brought into press contact with a positively rotating roller 92, are provided. When the band is sent to a band guiding arch side 74, in a case when the band is stored in a band storing room in a packing machine main body in advance, the band is fed by a small press contacting force, and in a case when the band is directly sent from a hand reel 78, the band is sent by making the touch pressure strong.
