PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mop base for efficiently and lightly perform a wiping work with water by fully using a wiping cloth on a whole base bottom surface. SOLUTION: The mop base 1 includes: a base part 2 to which the wiping cloth 17 is attached; and a connection part which is arranged on the upper surface 4 of the base part 2 and to which a bar shaped grip is connected. A plurality of projections 16 are hung from the base bottom surface 3 of the base part 2. The front end part 17E of the wiping cloth 17 is pulled up onto the upper surface 4 at the side of the front end part 2E of the base part 2, and held between the pinch pieces 13 of lock parts 11. The rear end part 17F is also pulled-up onto the upper surface 4 at the side of a rear end part 2F, and held between the pinch pieces 13 of the lock parts 11. Consequently, the wiping cloth 17 is attached to the base part 2 in a state where the cloth covers the base bottom surface 3 from a lower part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
