PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure regulator that is reliable despite an easy-to-manufacture, compact and low-cost structure. SOLUTION: An armature 5 supported for floating by a diaphragm 4 is arranged in a housing 11. A valve seat part 17 opposed to the armature 5 is defined in a case 2. The valve seat part 17 provides valve motion by abutting and leaving a valve hole 16 in the armature 5. The armature 5 has a taper portion 19 formed at a lower end. The taper portion 19 forms between the armature 5 and a case bottom 2a a spacing 20 radially increasing the distance between them. Even if the armature 5 tilts in the valve motion, the spacing 20 avoids an interference of the armature 5 with the case bottom 2a.
