The magnetically-operated double-seat valve assembly (1) has a coil (24) with a yoke (25) with two pole pieces (27,28). The valve housing (16) encloses a double valve (3,4) for shutting off fluid flow. Armatures (12,17) are associated with the pole pieces. The armatures move a circular outer seal (7) engaging a triangular-section seat (6), surrounding an inner valve with a triangular-section seal (9) engaging the flat surface surrounding the valve opening (15). A spring (23) urges the inner valve element downward with respect to the outer element.
