PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring interpupillary distance which is simply constituted and inexpensive and where measuring work is easy by securing stability in measurement.
SOLUTION: An index plate 14 having two indexes 14a and 14b separated by a distance C in a right and left direction is fixed to spectacles 10. The spectacles are mounted to a person to be measured, and photographing is carried out by a camera 30 positioned at a distance A from the index plate 14 in a state where the person watches a camera lens. Thus, an apparent distance D between the indexes and an apparent distance E between the pupils on a photographed image are measured. By using a distance B from the center of cycloduction of the person to the index plate, the actual interpupillary distance PD of the person is obtained based on following formula. PD=[(A+B)×C×E]/(A×D).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
