<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the improvement of communication performance by avoiding the occurrence of a metastable state in a latch circuit in an asynchronous communication circuit required when the transmission/reception of data is executed between semiconductor integrated circuits housing a synchronous circuit mutually operated with different frequencies. <P>SOLUTION: The asynchronous communication circuit has the following constitution. Clocks 3, 4 on the transmission side and the reception side, which are not synchronized with each other, are monitored with a phase comparator 5. When a phase difference between both of the clocks is less than a fixed value, the phase difference is secured by shifting the phase of either of the clocks or data transfer is temporarily stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
