<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure storage space of an oil level gage while maintaining degree of design freedom as much as possible in an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: A storage chamber 300 of an oil level gage is formed on a wall part of a differential gear mechanism storage part 15 of a housing 10. A communication hole 303 communicating the storage chamber 300 and an inner space of the differential gear mechanism storage part 15 is provided.
