PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous motor advantageous in increasing torque. SOLUTION: A stator comprises: a first stator core 7 having a plurality of first projected stator pole teeth 10; a second stator core 8 having a plurality of second projected stator pole teeth 11; and a coupling core 9 that couples these cores together. Second stator auxiliary pole teeth 13 connected to the second stator pole teeth 11 in the axial direction are inserted into the recesses between the first stator pole teeth 10. Second stator auxiliary pole teeth 12 connected to the first stator pole teeth 10 in the axial direction are inserted into the recesses between the second stator pole teeth 11.
