PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device by which focal control requested in the case of large blurring and in the case of quickly following the device to an object and focal control requested when performing photography by delicate control and confirmation of a graduation line can be switched when manually performing focusing operation. SOLUTION: In the optical device having a manual focal control means, it has a control switching means for switching control of the focal control means and the control switching means is constituted so as to switch control of the focal control means to either of control of a focal lens by controlled variable proportional to operation quantity of a focal operation means or control of the focal lens by controlled variable proportional to changed quantity of the operation quantity of the focal operation means.
